Coffee Project implements safety protocols

Coffee Project, the café chain of the Villar Group of Companies, is implementing new protocols to ensure the safety and security of its patrons who are expected to be back amid the easing of quarantine measures.

The firm said a maximum of only four customers may be inside the store at any given time and a “no face mask, no entry” policy is strictly enforced.

Before entering, customers will be asked to stand on a disinfecting mat for a minimum of 3 seconds. Doors will be opened by a barista or customers are encouraged to gently kick it open to avoid hand contact with door handles.

The temperature of customers will also be checked to confirm that they do not have fever and they will also be asked to sanitize their hands with alcohol. Visual markers are put in place on the floors as guide for customers in maintaining a 6 feet distance as they fall in line.

Protective acrylic barriers or sneeze guards are placed on the cashier and hand off area to prevent food contamination and spread of germs. Contactless payment is also encouraged while payment trays are also provided for cash transactions.

All employees of Coffee Project go through daily checking of body temperatures and are required to wash their hands with soap and water every 30 minutes and to sanitize their hands with alcohol after every transaction.

To ensure the safety of its employees and cleanliness of food, staff are equipped with gloves, face masks, and face shields.

The store is also routinely cleaned daily 1 hour before opening time for 30 minutes and another 30 minutes of thorough cleaning after it closes.

“Coffee Project also highly encourages curbside pickup wherein customers can order in advance and a barista will be waiting at their preferred time and branch and hand over the orders at the comfort of their vehicles,” the firm said.

There is also a Coffee Project Marketplace initiative where customers simply have to “CLICK AND EAT”.

They can order through the official Coffee Project website, Facebook messenger, and Viber community and have their food delivered right at their doorstep. Third party deliveries such as Foodpanda, Grabfood, Lalafood, Mangan, and others are also available to everyone.
