No PhilPaSS fees until June 11

By Lee C. Chipongian

With the lockdown in Metro Manila reduced to a general community quarantine (GCQ) by June 1, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said it will continue to waive Philippine Payment and Settlement System (PhilPaSS) fees until June 11.

BSP Deputy Governor Ma. Almasara Cy Tuaño-Amador, in a memo, said they will extend all previous advisories regarding PhilPaSS including the temporary waiver of fees, arrangements for operating timelines and cut-off times and procedures for submission of documents to the Payments and Settlements Office of the BSP.

Tuaño-Amador said PhilPaSS arrangements from enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to modified ECQ to GCQ for the National Capital Region (NCR) will remain in place until June 11.

The BSP waived PhilPass fees for the whole of April while on ECQ and extended until May 29 under the modified ECQ.
