GrabCar resumes services today

GrabCar services will resume services starting today, August 19, operate from 5:00 AM – 10:00 PM, while GrabBayanihan Car service for medical front liners will continue to operate 24/7 across Metro Manila following the government’s announcement placing the entire National Capital Region and nearby provinces Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal under general community quarantine.

In a statement, Grab said that following the policy of the Department of Transportation driver-partners and passengers are strictly required to wear face shields and face masks throughout the trip. Driver-partners can likewise cancel bookings should the passenger fail to wear the required facemask and face shield.

To comply with the government’s policy on cashless payments in public transportation, GrabCar passengers are still required to pay cashless through GrabPay, Debit Card, or Credit Card, to book a ride. For commuters who are still adapting to cashless payments, they may visit for a quick and easy step-by-step guide on cashing-into their GrabPay wallets.

Grab continues to implement its GrabProtect program to raise its safety and hygiene bar to ensure that our communities remain safe. Through our partnership with the National Taskforce Against COVID and the BCDA, Grab continues to provide free COVID tests for our driver and delivery partners.

For it customers and their families staying at home, GrabFood and GrabMart will remain operational from 6 AM – 12 MN depending on merchant-partner availability, while GrabExpress will remain operational 24/7. Likewise, GrabPay will continue to provide safe and convenient cashless payments to help our kababayans fulfill their transactions while staying at home.
